As 2025 came to a close, the SAS team gathered in Monterey, California for several days of strategic alignment, planning, and forward-looking discussion. From December 4–7, our team stepped away from daily operations to focus on how evolving client needs—and the rapidly changing ERP landscape—are shaping the year ahead.
A central theme of the retreat was preparing for what manufacturers will increasingly require in 2026: greater visibility across operations, more adaptable ERP architectures, deeper data intelligence, and systems that can evolve alongside the business rather than constrain it. These conversations were grounded in real-world client environments, not abstract trends.
Team strategy sessions focused on client planning and future-state discussions around SYSPRO environments—specifically how technical changes such as cloud readiness, system integration, reporting flexibility, and scalable infrastructure can be thoughtfully incorporated to support long-term growth. Rather than approaching ERP as a static system, the team explored how to help clients build digital foundations that remain resilient as operational demands, compliance requirements, and market conditions continue to shift.
Equally important were conversations about how SAS partners with clients during these transitions—emphasizing clarity, realistic roadmaps, and technical decisions that balance innovation with operational stability. The goal is not technology for its own sake, but systems that actively support smarter decision-making and sustainable performance.
Outside of working sessions, the retreat offered time to strengthen team connections and perspective. Highlights included a behind-the-scenes tour at the Monterey Bay Aquarium—an experience that underscored the complexity and coordination required to operate large, mission-critical systems effectively.
The team also took in the region’s iconic surroundings, including a drive along the legendary 17-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach. The retreat concluded with memorable dinners throughout the area, including an evening at the Pebble Beach Lodge, where the team gathered in front of a beautifully lit holiday tree to reflect on the year and look ahead.
As SAS moves into 2026, this retreat reinforced a shared focus: helping clients navigate change with confidence by aligning people, process, and technology. Strong ERP outcomes are built through thoughtful planning, technical expertise, and trusted partnerships—and those foundations begin with a team that takes the time to think ahead.
If your organization is evaluating how ERP strategy, system modernization, or scalability will factor into your 2026 plans, SAS is ready to help guide the conversation.
